World’s First LNG Tug Introduced by Rolls-Royce in Singapore Port
Rolls-Royce has launched the world’s first LNG tug, JMS Sunshine, in Singapore’s port. Powered by mtu gas engines, the hybrid system marks a significant milestone in the Port of Singapore’s commitment to environmental sustainability. Seatrium Limited designed and operates the 29-meter tug, equipped with two mtu Series 4000M55RN gas engines. The engines offer reliability, ease of operation, and excellent service support, meeting the demanding requirements of harbour tug operations.
