The US Treasury has sanctioned Chandigarh-based Aryavart Ship Management and the people behind it, accusing them of running fraudulent ship registries used by Iranian shipping. A fake “Eswatini” registry run from Singapore was also sanctioned, raising fresh concern for seafarers on falsely flagged ships.
