Pacific Islands Unite to Combat IUU Fishing in Operation Island Chief
The Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency’s Operation Island Chief 2025 has successfully concluded, targeting illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing. Running from August 4 to 15, the operation involved thirteen member countries and quad partners, deploying vessels and aircraft to ensure sustainable fishing and protect marine resources through enhanced regional cooperation.
