EU to Enhance EMSA’s Role for Improved Maritime Safety
The European Council and Parliament have reached a provisional agreement to enhance the European Maritime Safety Agency’s (EMSA) mission. This initiative addresses evolving maritime challenges, including cybersecurity. Polish Minister Dariusz Klimczak stated that revising EMSA’s mandate will ensure its effectiveness in tackling safety, pollution, and decarbonization in the maritime sector.
