IMO Urges Evacuation of Stranded Ships, and Seafarers
Approximately 370 Indian seafarers are stranded in the Strait of Hormuz, despite a ceasefire between the US and Iran. The Indian government has evacuated over 1,754 seafarers, but 16 Indian-flagged vessels remain in high-risk areas. The Indian Embassy in Tehran advises nationals to leave Iran as tensions persist.
