German ferry company Aktien-Gesellschaft EMS (AG EMS) will implement Hogia Ferry Systems’ standard reservation software BOOKIT. Hogia’s system will replace AG EMS’s current fare reservation and check-in system and will be used for its fast and traditional ferries, as well as river cruises and excursions. Stefan Beekhuis, CIO of AG EMS, said the company was “at the end of the rope” with the old system, and that BOOKIT will provide a reliable standard reservation system with the added benefit of being able to create its own customer-facing apps and websites thanks to the BOOKIT API.

BOOKIT is used by other ferry operators, tour operators and travel agents to manage and book reservations, products, services and resources. The software was designed to cope with the complexities of various ferry services and is equipped to automatically adjust for different languages, currencies, routes and products, as well as providing its advanced API, allowing for simple customisation and integration with third-party systems. Hogia Ferry Systems is part of the Hogia Group, which provides software solutions to the transportation industry.
