The Iran-backed Houthis are suspected of firing a missile at a ship in the Gulf of Aden after the US and UK carried out military strikes. The UK Maritime Trade Operations office received a report of a missile being fired at a ship southeast of Aden, Yemen. The ship was not damaged, and the journey continued. It is believed that the missile may have been aimed at a tanker carrying Russian oil and that this was the second such incident.

The attack took place much farther east in the Gulf of Aden than previous attacks, sparking curiosity about the change in location. US air operations commander Air Force Lt. Gen. Alex Grynkewich said that more than 60 targets were hit at 16 locations during the military action, including Houthi militant locations, ammunition depots, and air defense radar systems. The Houthis have vowed to retaliate against any aggression from the US and other countries.
