Developed by HSN-KIKAI KOGYO CO., LTD, the ‘Hydroponic Vegetable Grower for Ship’ system is designed to thrive in the challenging maritime environment, ensuring reliable performance on board ships. This distinction marks ROYAL LAUREL as the first vessel in ClassNK’s registry to receive the ‘ELW (HP)’ designation, aimed at improving working conditions beyond the minimum standards outlined in the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC, 2006).
