A Tanzanian-flagged cargo ship is at risk of sinking in the Black Sea, off the coast of Romania. The ship, named AMANOS, sent an SOS signal near the city of Mangalia, stating that the bow of the ship was broken and water was flooding in. Romanian rescue ships were dispatched to the location, but the captain of AMANOS refused their help and stated that the crew would repair the damage themselves before sailing towards Bulgarian waters. The cargo that the ship was carrying remains unknown. The ship was built in 1978, and information about its current owner is confidential. It departed from the port of Izmail in Ukraine but its final destination is unknown.
