Port operations at Mongla Port in Bangladesh resumed after Cyclone Dana, which brought severe rain that hampered cargo handling for seven ships. Despite the initial challenges, the process of emptying these ships is currently underway. Operations at the port are gradually returning to normal following the spell of bad weather caused by the cyclone.

The hazards over the coastal region of the Sundarbans have decreased temporarily since Cyclone Dana hit Odisha, India. The residents of Mongla, located near the Sundarbans coast, have breathed a sigh of relief as the threat has subsided. The skies above Mongla Port and the nearby coastline are clear, with no wind or rain. However, a local cautious signal number three remains in effect at the harbor as a precautionary measure.

Although the weather has improved, the meteorological office has warned that conditions could change throughout the day. There is a possibility of rain falling over the Mongla coast for another day or two. Despite the current calm weather, it is important for residents and port authorities to remain vigilant and prepared for any potential changes in the weather.
