A recent incident on the Carnival Firenze highlights the significance of reliable connectivity; a brief outage led to a delay in departure as the ship’s IT systems required repairs, akin to mechanical issues.

The Carnival Firenze, formerly known as Costa Firenze, is a modern cruise ship capable of accommodating 5,000 passengers and 1,300 crew members. It operates itineraries from Long Beach to Baja, with stops in Cabo and Ensenada. On a scheduled departure from Los Angeles, passengers reported a complete communications failure due to a system crash, impacting onboard Wi-Fi and guest services, including in-cabin TV and the casino.
