The Directorate General Shipping (SWFS) recently held a symposium at the Cidco Convention Center in Vashi, addressing crucial aspects of seafarer recruitment and welfare. The event gathered maritime managers, industry experts, and political leaders to discuss future strategies for enhancing recruitment processes and ensuring seafarers’ well-being.
The symposium was graced by Chief Guest Shri Shyam Jagannathan, the General Director for Shipping, along with esteemed Guests of Honor, including Shri Sushil Manssing Kopde and Capt. Si Abul Kalam Azad. Key speakers featured influential figures from the maritime sector, such as Capt. Nitin Mukesh, Capt. PC Meena, and Shri Steve Trowsdale, among others.
