Sagar Defence Engineering has achieved a significant milestone with the groundbreaking ceremony for what it claims to be the world’s first Autonomous Maritime Shipbuilding and Systems Centre. This facility is located at the Juvvaladinne Fishing Harbour in Andhra Pradesh and aims to bolster India’s indigenous defence manufacturing capabilities while enhancing advancements in autonomous maritime technologies.

The foundation stone for this innovative centre was laid by Nara Lokesh, the Minister for Human Resources Development, IT, Electronics & Communications, and Real-Time Governance for the Government of Andhra Pradesh. This initiative is expected to play a pivotal role in strengthening the local defence ecosystem.
