Shiprocket has introduced India’s first Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server for eCommerce shipping, a groundbreaking tool that enables AI agents to manage essential tasks—such as checking shipping rates and tracking orders—using just one simple instruction. This innovation streamlines eCommerce operations by allowing businesses to automate processes with natural language commands, eliminating the need for traditional dashboards or APIs.

The MCP Server offers several key benefits, including faster execution of logistics tasks, seamless integration with AI tools, hands-free operations, and robust enterprise-grade security. Once integrated, AI agents can efficiently estimate delivery times, track orders, create or cancel shipments, and schedule pickups—all through a single prompt. For instance, queries like “What are the courier options from Delhi to Bangalore?” can now be easily handled.

Remarkably, the MCP Server enables integration with popular AI frameworks, such as Claude and Cursor, as well as automation platforms like Zapier, allowing businesses to harness Shiprocket’s capabilities across over 7,000 applications. According to Saahil Goel, CEO of Shiprocket, this launch signifies a shift from manual to autonomous workflows, empowering businesses to operate smarter and scale more effortlessly in the eCommerce landscape.
