Smart Ship © Hub has partnered with the Al Group, which includes Asian Lloyd in Singapore and Atlantic Lloyd in Hamburg, to pioneer emissions reporting in the maritime industry. This collaboration employs the Smart Ship © Hub platform across the entire Al Group fleet, utilizing high-frequency historical data for automated digital emission reporting alongside the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS).

Al Group is the first ship owner and manager to integrate this technology through the ABS emissions platform, achieving milestones in condition-based maintenance, emission management, and automated data quality management. Fleet Director Tonci Zdunic and Senior Technical Manager K Rajasegaran were instrumental in implementing this system to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.

Zdunic noted that the partnership with Smart Ship Hub has unlocked significant value across technical, commercial, and regulatory dimensions. Through real-time sensor data analysis, they have established key performance indicators and success criteria to better manage vessel performance. Joy Basu from Smart Ship Hub remarked on their platform’s capability to automate reporting and safeguard compliance through advanced data solutions.

The ABS emissions management mechanism ensures 95% data accuracy while reducing errors, allowing for straightforward integration without hardware upgrades. This initiative illustrates the maritime industry’s shift toward automated solutions that bolster sustainability and regulatory adherence.
