DP World’s $2.5 billion investment in global logistics infrastructure by 2025 is set to create nearly 5,000 new construction jobs in countries like India, Britain, Ecuador, Senegal, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. This initiative underscores the economic transformation driven by supportive trade practices. Currently, DP World employs over 100,000 people worldwide, and its Group Chairman, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, emphasizes the positive impact these jobs will have on communities and their long-term benefits.

In India, the development of a new terminal at Tuna Tekra will generate 2,000 construction jobs, while an additional 500 roles will stem from the establishment of rail and inland terminals throughout the subcontinent. In Senegal, the Ndayane deep-sea port project is expected to create 600 jobs, and the Port of Banana in the Democratic Republic of Congo will offer around 500 employment opportunities as it constructs the nation’s first deep-sea port.
