In a significant advancement for liquefied natural gas (LNG) handling technology, Hanwha Ocean of South Korea has successfully completed the world’s first ship-to-ship (STS) transfer of LNG during sea trials. This operation took place off the coast of Geoje Island, involving two vessels: the newly constructed Maran Gas Syros and the Woodside Jirrubakura, owned by GasLog.
