MISC Group has signed contracts to build two LNG dual-fuel Suezmax tankers through its shipping arm, AET, as part of its fleet renewal and energy transition strategy. These vessels will operate under long-term charters, enhancing the company’s financial stability and supporting disciplined growth. This addition expands MISC’s dual-fuel capabilities across all tanker segments, including Aframaxes and very large crude carriers.

The orders signify MISC’s commitment to investing in cleaner and more energy-efficient shipping solutions, aligning with global net-zero goals. In April 2024, the company also ventured into ammonia dual-fuel capabilities by securing a time charter for Aframax tankers, marking a transitional phase toward future ammonia-fueled operations.
