Norwind Offshore has received the Norwind Maestro, a commissioning service operations vessel (CSOV), from Vard Søviknes, enhancing its fleet and commitment to offshore wind operations. This 85-meter vessel marks the sixth addition to Norwind Offshore’s managed fleet.
The Norwind Maestro, designed as a VARD 4 19, is set to begin a 10-year contract at the Global Tech 1 Offshore Wind Farm in Germany. This deployment underscores the company’s ongoing partnership with Wind Multiplikator, a Semco Maritime subsidiary.
In August 2025, Norwind Offshore and Wind Multiplikator formalized a long-term charter for the CSOV to support operations in the German North Sea. The contract includes scheduled maintenance, required inspections and certifications, troubleshooting with engineering support, and preventive maintenance efforts aimed at maximizing turbine availability.
