On June 13, the World Maritime University (WMU) and Lund University’s Faculty of Law signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing collaboration in maritime law, policy, safety, and environmental protection. This agreement is designed to bolster academic and research efforts in these critical areas.
The MoU was signed by WMU President Professor Maximo Q. Mejia, Jr., and Professor Henrik Wenander, Dean of Lund Law Faculty. It outlines cooperation in teaching, research, and the exchange of academic information, with an emphasis on maritime security and related disciplines.
The signing event was witnessed by WMU Professor Daniel Moon, Vice President and Provost, along with Dr. Niklas Selberg, Associate Professor at Lund University.
This partnership underscores the mutual commitment of both institutions to advance maritime governance and legal scholarship on a global scale.
