A new maritime training simulator center has been established in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, through a collaboration between the University of Transport Ho Chi Minh City and Dutch training group STC. This facility features two advanced Dutch-standard bridge simulators offering 240- and 360-degree views, alongside various vessel models and realistic scenarios that encompass both Vietnamese and international waterways.

Additionally, the center includes a Kongsberg engine room simulator that accurately replicates machinery spaces, control rooms, and high-voltage systems. It also offers cargo handling, ECDIS, and GMDSS simulators, along with designated areas for survival and firefighting training, all built to meet STCW standards.

The UT STC emphasized that this center will enhance practical training for students, ultimately aiming to provide the global shipping industry with highly qualified seafarers from Vietnam.
