Yanmar Power Solutions has secured a site in Amagasaki City, Japan, to test marine hydrogen engines. This strategic move aims to enhance the company’s development of powertrains compatible with next-generation fuels, including hydrogen, methanol, and ammonia.
The new facility will facilitate a reorganization of Yanmar’s production system, integrating existing factories to bolster operational capabilities. This initiative reflects the company’s commitment to innovation in sustainable marine technology.
Operations at the complex are expected to commence around March 2029, marking a significant step forward in Yanmar’s pursuit of eco-friendly power solutions for the maritime industry.
