NITTE confers Honorary Doctorate upon Allcargo Group Founder & Chairman Shashi Kiran Shetty

At the 13th Annual Convocation Ceremony at NITTE, Mr. Shashi Kiran Shetty, Founder and Chairman of Allcargo Group, was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in recognition of his remarkable achievements in business. Mr. Shetty was commended for leading India’s international supply chain and logistics services for over three decades, playing a key role in facilitating trade within India and around the world. The Founder and Chairman of Allcargo Group shared that he was honored and humbled to receive the award from NITTE, and expressed gratitude for the warm reception from the university.

Hailing from Bantwal, Karnataka, Mr. Shetty has built the Allcargo Group into a successful logistics conglomerate operating in 180 countries, with a focus on innovation, integrity, and talent development. In addition to his business success, Mr. Shetty has also been active in academia, serving as Chairman of the Board of Governors of IIM Mumbai and playing a key role in setting up the Centre of Excellence in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at the institution. Furthermore, through Avashya Foundation, Mr. Shetty has been involved in various social welfare programs, such as medical camps, scholarships for students, and environmental initiatives.
