The PORT of Aberdeen was honored with the prestigious Business of the Year award at the Maritime UK Awards 2024, held at the Titanic Belfast. The ceremony, which took place on Wednesday, June 5, brought together hundreds of industry professionals to celebrate excellence in the maritime sector, including shipping, ports, engineering, professional services, and leisure marine.

Port of Aberdeen’s CEO, Bob Sanguinetti, accepted the award on behalf of the port for its exceptional performance in 2023. The port achieved record financial results, completed the transformative £420 million Aberdeen South Harbour expansion, and made significant progress in its award-winning net zero strategy. Despite facing tough competition from other ports like Peel Ports and Port of Blyth, Port of Aberdeen stood out for its outstanding achievements.
