This total solar eclipse is expected to last about 4.5 minutes as the shadow cast by Earth’s Moon engulfs parts of the North American continent. Observing the eclipse from the water, away from the bright city lights, should only add to the quality of the viewing experience.

The Emerald Princess is expected to meet the 2024 total solar eclipse somewhere in between Cabo San Lucas and Huatulco on the west coast of Mexico.

A rare opportunity

John Padgett, President of Princess Cruises, said of the eclipse-themed voyage: “This rare event in the cosmos is sure to delight millions, but only a tiny fraction will ever experience this phenomenon across the ocean… Princess thrives on ensuring our guests have authentic experiences, which sometimes become once-in-a-lifetime moments.”
