On June 6, 2024, Rebecca Gibson reported that Red Bull Mobile has entered into an exclusive roaming agreement with Telenor Maritime. This partnership will allow Red Bull Mobile to offer cost-effective data plans to passengers on over 150 cruise ships and passenger ferries worldwide.
Passengers sailing on these ships can now access the Red Bull Mobile eSIM application and purchase a fixed-price maritime package that was launched on April 2, 2024. This package enables users to stay connected to the internet while onboard ships that are connected to the Telenor Maritime network.
Travellers have the option to buy the data package before embarking on their journey and can start using it once the ships enter international waters. This collaboration between Red Bull Mobile and Telenor Maritime aims to enhance the connectivity experience for passengers at sea.
