ABS Approves Innovative Ethane Carrier Designs from Jiangnan Shipyard

ABS has granted approval in principle (AIP) to Jiangnan Shipyard for two new developments. The first is an ultra large ethane carrier with the BrilliancE® II Type-B cargo containment system, enhancing performance and efficiency. The second AIP was for Jiangnan’s PnFCOMBi insulation system, suitable for low-temperature containment systems. ABS and Jiangnan aim to meet the growing demand for ethane carriers with innovative solutions.
