
India Plans Six Mega Port Clusters to Boost Maritime Infrastructure by 2047
Union Minister for Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, announced plans for six harbor clusters in India. These clusters, including Cochin-Vizhinjam, Galathea South Bay, and Paradip, aim to boost capacity to over 500 MTPA by 2047. The focus is on infrastructural development under the Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision to meet future demands efficiently.
