Ministry of Ports Supports Brahmaputra River Projects for Economic Growth
The Sagarmala program will fund projects to enhance terminals and riverine infrastructure along the Brahmaputra River, improving connectivity and promoting economic growth. Slipways, passenger terminals, and ferry infrastructure will be developed across the region. With a focus on northeastern states, including Assam, projects worth over Rs 1,000 crore are underway.
