At INMARCO 2026, the Maritime Union of India called for proper rest before seafarers join a ship, less training pressure during leave and regular shore leave. The union also highlighted its welfare schemes for seafarers’ families and its work for gender equality and a more respectful, inclusive workplace for women at sea.
