The Odisha state government is set to enhance its marine infrastructure with the construction of two new seaports, in collaboration with PSA Singapore. These new ports, along with shipyards, aim to attract industries to Gopalpur and Dhamra areas. Investments in steel plants and shipyards near the ports signify the state’s commitment to industrial growth.
Singtel and Ericsson are collaborating to provide advanced 5G solutions at Tuas Port in Singapore, aiming to create the world’s largest automated port by the 2040s. Upgrading AGVs to 5G, enhancing shipment tracking, and streamlining crane operations will boost efficiency. Singtel’s 5G network slicing and private networks will ensure seamless and secure connectivity.
Hydrogen can be converted to MCH for liquid storage and later reconverted to gas for port operations. Trials by NTU Singapore, PSA Singapore, and Chiyoda Corporation resulted in the first hydrogen refueling station at Pasir Panjang Terminal, boosting global hydrogen supply chains with electric propulsion using hydrogen fuel cells.
