Maritime Security Raised to Level 3 Amid Rising Tensions in Strait of Hormuz
In response to rising tensions following Israeli attacks on Iran, Turkiye is raising the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code level for Turkish-flagged vessels to Level 3 starting June 17, 2025. This decision aims to bolster maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz amid increasing threats. Enhanced measures will include intensive inspections and restricted access.
