ABS Guidance on New Grain Loading Rules for Safe Transportation
ABS has issued guidance on the recent amendments to the International Code for the Safe Carriage of Grain in Bulk, known as the Grain Code, effective from January 1, 2026. These changes address loading conditions for grain transportation, including “specially suitable compartments.” The new loading condition aims to ensure ship stability during grain transport.
