Shyam Jagannathan to Continue Steering India’s Shipping Sector Until 2028
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has granted a two-year extension to senior IAS officer Shyam Jagannathan as Director General (Shipping) in the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways until June 1, 2028. This extension supports vital maritime reforms, enhancing India’s maritime infrastructure and competitiveness in global trade.
