Deendayal Port Authority in Kandla recently celebrated a significant milestone in India’s logistics and maritime sectors by successfully loading indigenous “Made in India” freight wagons onto the vessel MV OLIVIA at Cargo Jetty No 15. The port’s advanced infrastructure and operational excellence were highlighted in this achievement, as stated in a press release from the Deendayal Port Authority.
The MV OLIVIA was at the port to load 24 packages of Gondola type wagons, weighing 454.104 metric tons, exported by M/s Jindal Rail Infrastructure Limited from Karjan, Vadodara, Gujarat. This consignment is destined for the Port of Nacala in Mozambique, showcasing India’s growing prowess in manufacturing and logistics through efficient handling and loading operations at Deendayal Port Authority in support of the “Make in India” initiative.
Deendayal Port Authority expressed its gratitude to all the stakeholders who contributed to this achievement, including Board Members, Trade Unions, Port users, and employees. This groundbreaking consignment not only enhances the port’s operational capabilities but also sets the stage for future innovations in the logistics industry, further supporting India’s efforts in international trade and manufacturing.
