Chris Erickson, the son of Erickson Marine Founder Bill Erickson, understands the importance of meeting the high standards of custom boat-buying clients. As a dealer for Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Powerboats in Cape Coral, Florida, Erickson knows that quality comes at a price, especially when it comes to custom high-performance center consoles. Recently, he delivered a Nor-Tech 340 Sport center console with triple Mercury Racing V-10 400R outboard engines to marine industry veteran Jim Ferguson, who runs Marine Engineering Services in Sarasota.
Ferguson, who manufactures fresh-water flush kits for various outboard engines, appreciated the quality and reputation of Nor-Tech boats. Despite owning multiple boats in the past, including a 32-foot Spectre catamaran and a 28-foot Spectre center console, Ferguson was impressed by the performance of the new Nor-Tech 340 Sport. With a wider beam and stable handling in rough waters, the 34-foot center console exceeded his expectations during its first run in Sarasota.
Erickson praised Ferguson for his knowledge and attention to detail when it comes to boat construction and performance. As a longtime member of the marine industry, Ferguson’s experience and expertise made him a valuable client for Erickson Marine. Both Ferguson and Erickson enjoyed working together on the purchase of the Nor-Tech center console, highlighting the importance of building strong relationships with clients in the marine industry.
