Shri. Unmesh Sharad Wagh (IRS), the in-charge of Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA), has confirmed that the Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) recommendation has been received for the Vadhvan Port project by the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA). The project is set to be developed in collaboration with the Maharashtra Maritime Board (MMB). Additionally, the Dahanu Taluka Environment Protection Authority (DTEPA) has already given approval for the project’s development.
The in-charge Chairman of JNPA stated that the port authority will comply with all the conditions set out in the CRZ recommendation. This indicates that the project will prioritize environmental protection and adhere to regulations in the development process.
