The ultra-luxury cruise ship, Four Seasons I, was delivered on February 25 at Fincantieri’s Ancona shipyard. This vessel marks the first of two ships commissioned by the renowned hotel brand and signifies a significant milestone in the expanding luxury cruise market. Weighing 35,040 gross tons and measuring 207 meters (679 feet) in length, it features only 95 luxury suites, accommodating a total of 222 guests. According to Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings, the ship offers 50% more living space per passenger compared to other vessels.

Four Seasons I boasts an impressive array of amenities, including 11 dining venues, a full-service spa, a transverse marina, and a large pool measuring 65 feet by 18 feet, touted as one of the largest at sea. Suite sizes range from 2,981 to 9,975 square feet, with flexible layouts that allow for over 100 configuration options. Notable accommodations include loft suites and the expansive Funnel Suite, which spans four decks and features one of the largest glass walls on any cruise ship.

Fincantieri’s CEO, Pierroberto Folgiero, emphasized that the ship represents a new paradigm for hospitality, equipped with advanced digital architecture that utilizes artificial intelligence for enhanced operational efficiency. Assembly began in July 2024, with a maiden voyage scheduled for March 20, 2025. The ship’s order, valued at over €400 million, reflects a growing trend among luxury hotel brands entering the cruise sector, with more than 30 ultra-luxury ships currently on order across the industry.
