Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ) achieved a record-breaking monthly cargo volume of 39.9 million metric tonnes in January, marking a 13% year-on-year increase. This significant milestone included notable growth in containers (+32% YoY) and liquids and gas (+18% YoY). APSEZ also reached new heights by handling a total of 372.2 MMT of cargo (+20% YoY) and liquids and gases (+9% YoY) year-to-date in January.
Mundra Port, a key facility under APSEZ, made history in January 2025 by achieving extraordinary milestones in cargo handling that set national records. This exceptional performance underscores Adani Port’s position as a leading global port and a vital contributor to India’s economy. Mundra Port specifically stood out by hitting a historic monthly cargo volume of 17.20 million metric tonnes, surpassing previous records and establishing itself as the top Indian port in terms of maritime trade history.
Among its achievements, Mundra Port also set a new national record in container handling, surpassing the throughput of 7.72 lakh Twenty-foot Equivalent Units (TEUs) in a single month. These accomplishments highlight Adani Ports’ commitment to excellence and efficiency in maritime operations.
