Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. (APSEZ) has established itself as a key player in India’s trade infrastructure, handling a record 450 million metric tonnes of cargo this year, according to Chairman Gautam Adani during the company’s Annual General Meeting. He described Adani Ports as the “beating heart of India’s trade,” emphasizing a vision that extends beyond traditional port operations.
Adani highlighted the company’s strategy of developing a comprehensive transport utility that incorporates marine, trucking, warehousing, and freight forwarding services. This approach aligns with Prime Minister’s Gati Shakti Mission, aiming to streamline logistics and reduce operational friction. The focus will particularly support Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), which are essential to India’s manufacturing and export sectors.
To enhance operational efficiency and cost competitiveness for local businesses, Adani Ports is investing across the entire logistics value chain. The ambitious target is to handle 1 billion tonnes of cargo by FY30, representing a more than twofold increase from FY25. Additionally, APSEZ plans to expand its logistics and marine operations to further strengthen its presence in the industry.
