Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. (APSEZ) reported a 16% year-on-year cargo volume increase in August 2025, totaling 41.9 million metric tons (MMT). This growth was largely fueled by a remarkable 29% rise in container traffic, underscoring APSEZ’s dominant role in India’s trade landscape.

Mundra Port set several operational records in August. The T2 terminal achieved its highest monthly throughput of 129,780 TEUs, and AMCT (CT2) processed 104,793 TEUs across 40 vessels, surpassing its previous record. Additionally, RoRo operations set a new single-day high on August 29 by handling 1,460 cars.

Container and rail operations also reached new benchmarks. Mundra Port managed 97,000 outward container TEUs across 756 import rakes, and double-stack handling set records with a total of 50,000 TEUs across 885 rakes. Overall, APSEZ handled 202.6 MMT of cargo from April to August 2025, marking an 11% increase, driven by a 22% rise in container volumes.
