12 May 2025 | Kochi, India: Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) and Drydocks World, a DP World company, are enhancing their partnership to elevate India’s ship repair and offshore fabrication capabilities. This initiative builds on a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) established last month in Mumbai, during the visit of UAE Crown Prince H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, CEO of DP World, and Madhu S Nair, CSL’s Managing Director. A delegation from Drydocks World, led by CEO Captain Rado Antolovic, visited CSL in early May to discuss future steps and toured CSL facilities, including the International Ship Repair Facility and the new Dry Dock.
Captain Antolovic expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, emphasizing its potential to foster innovation and job creation in India’s maritime sector. The focus is on operationalizing the MoU and exploring both immediate and long-term projects, starting with the ISRF in Kochi and expanding nationwide.
This partnership aligns with India’s Maritime India Vision 2030, aiming to transform the country into a global maritime hub with advanced infrastructure and skilled personnel.
