The Deendayal Port Authority (DPA) held a Maritime Festival-cum-Roadshow in Gandhidham, Gujarat, to kick off India Maritime Week 2025. The event, themed “International Cooperation – Smart Ports: Gateways to Prosperity,” showcased India’s rise as a global maritime leader, highlighting the importance of technology and sustainable development in the ports and logistics sector.

DPA Chairman Sushil Kumar Singh opened the event, praising India’s maritime advancements under Prime Minister Modi. He urged participation in India Maritime Week 2025, emphasizing the event’s potential to strengthen partnerships and foster innovation in the maritime value chain.

During a keynote address via video conference, Gujarat Maritime Board Vice Chairman Rajkumar Beniwal stressed the need for innovation and cooperation between government and industry to enhance port modernization and competitiveness in global trade. A significant panel discussion on “Smart Ports” featured industry experts discussing digitalization, automation, and global best practices as essential for transforming India’s ports.

The roadshow provided a platform for dialogue and partnership building, reinforcing DPA’s commitment to India’s maritime goals outlined in the Maritime India Vision 2030 and Maritime Amritkaal Vision 2047.
