Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Gujarat on September 20 to assess the progress of the National Maritime Heritage Complex (NMHC) at Lothal, located in the Ahmedabad district. During this visit, he will review completed works and engage in discussions with officials regarding ongoing projects at the site. Lothal, a significant trading center of the Indus Valley Civilization, represents India’s maritime strength and historical significance.

Officials have highlighted that the NMHC will integrate history, education, research, and entertainment, revitalizing Lothal’s legacy as a bustling port and ship-repair hub from 5,000 years ago. Utilizing advanced technology, the complex aims to provide visitors with an immersive experience of India’s rich maritime heritage.

The NMHC is designed to meet international standards and will rank among the world’s premier museums. In addition to the review meeting, the Prime Minister will also address a public rally in Bhavnagar during his visit.
