Cornwall Marine Network has reached a significant milestone by creating 5,000 new marine sector jobs in the region. This not-for-profit organization supports marine businesses in Cornwall through innovative initiatives, skills training, apprenticeships, and grant funding.

CEO Paul Wickes MBE highlighted the unique position of the organization, stating, “There is no other privately owned non-profit marine network in the UK or Europe that has achieved the size, scale, and impact that we have.” Since its inception in 2005, the network has attracted over £42 million in direct investment into Cornwall’s marine sector.

Through its funded projects and pioneering apprenticeship scheme, the organization has successfully supported local businesses in job creation. Additionally, Cornwall Marine Network collaborates with national partners and over 90 European project partners to share best practices and enhance the marine industry’s growth.
