GITAM Deemed to be University has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Centre of Excellence in Maritime & Shipbuilding (CEMS). This agreement, signed on Thursday, aims to enhance technical education and research through collaborative initiatives, including workshops, training programs, and internships.

The MoU was officially signed by GITAM registrar D. Gunasekharan and CEMS Chief Operating Officer S. Gopi Krishna, with GITAM’s faculty development director G.V.R. Sharma present during the event.

This partnership is expected to foster skill development and innovation in the maritime and shipbuilding sectors, benefiting students and professionals alike. By leveraging resources and expertise from both institutions, the collaboration seeks to address industry needs and advance educational opportunities.

The signing of this MoU reflects a commitment to bridging the gap between academia and industry, ensuring that graduates are well-equipped for the challenges of the maritime field.
