This strategic collaboration will see Hefring’s Intelligence Marine Assistance System (IMAS) installed on Ecomar’s hydrogen battery vessel, the MV Dirac. This initiative represents the first implementation of Hefring’s advanced monitoring technology on an electric vessel, reflecting both companies’ commitment to sustainable propulsion.

Karl Birgir Björnsson, CEO of Hefring Marine, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, emphasizing the importance of real-time environmental and motion data for the safety and efficiency of electric and hydrogen-powered vessels.
