Smart Marina Tech: D-Marin App Hits Major Milestone

D-Marin’s smart marina technology has gained remarkable traction, with nearly 20,000 boaters actively using the marina group’s app. This digital platform is pivotal to the company’s strategy, enhancing efficiency, sustainability, and customer experiences across its network. Currently, the app boasts over 19,300 active users, with around 500 new users joining monthly. Notably, among private annual berth holders, 93% have activated their accounts, and 63% utilize the app multiple times each month.

The D-Marin app serves as a comprehensive digital hub, incorporating innovative solutions such as Smart Pedestals and Smart Sensors. Users can easily book berths, renew contracts, check in, monitor vessel status, manage utilities, and process payments. The app is supported by two key technologies: Smart Sensors, powered by Sense4Boat, provide real-time vessel monitoring, with over 10,000 sensors installed to detect potential risks. Additionally, more than 2,500 Smart Pedestals allow owners to manage water and energy usage, with over 90% of users reporting significant time savings.

Matthias Gehring, Chief Digital Officer at D-Marin, emphasizes that these smart solutions enhance convenience, safety, and sustainability in marina life. D-Marin’s €10 million investment in digital systems, including AI-driven platforms and CRM solutions, underscores its commitment to setting a global standard in customer experience and operational efficiency. This announcement follows the launch of D-Marin’s brand campaign, “Feels like yachting should feel,” at the recent Cannes Yachting Festival.
