Ukrainian drones targeted a tanker in the southern Russian port of Rostov-on-Don, resulting in casualties and a fire, according to the city’s mayor. Emergency teams are currently working to extinguish the blaze on the vessel, which was docked at the time of the attack.
Regional governor Yuri Slyusar confirmed the drone strike and reported injuries among the ship’s crew. Fortunately, an oil leak was avoided despite the incident’s severity.
Additionally, Slyusar noted that parts of a high-rise apartment building under construction were damaged, and two private homes were destroyed in a nearby town.
The situation underscores the ongoing tensions in the region as both sides continue to engage in military actions.
