Ten Filipino seafarers, recently returned from an attack by Houthi rebels in the Gulf of Aden, will receive support from the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) upon their arrival in Manila. DMW Secretary Hans Cacdac announced that the government is committed to assisting these crew members from the Dutch-flagged cargo ship Minervagratch in securing new employment opportunities.

Cacdac emphasized that the seafarers will receive all their mandated benefits and entitlements as stipulated in their employment contracts. In addition to job placement assistance, the government will provide necessary medical services and psychological counseling to help them recover from their traumatic experience.
